This is pretty much all you need to get you started sharpening.
A low grit stone for repairs and bevel setting/flattening that cuts fast and dishes slow.
A mid range grit stone with great cutting speed and feedback for most sharpening jobs.
A finishing stone for double bevel knives or pre polisher for single bevels with excellent feedback that leaves a nice crispy edge with some good bite on it.
A 2 disc DVD that covers everything you need to get you started. It shows good technique in practice with thorough explanations on basic to advanced techniques.
Individually each stone is a great value for what you are getting. All together with the discount it's really a great bargain.
With the DVD on top of it This is the ultimate beginners set up.
Dave's done the research and put this set together for a reason. It works.
